Winter is welcomed by the privileged wealthy people with colorful pashminas and festive moods, but it brings a lot of suffering to poor and needy people around the world. About 1.2 million Rohingya refugees are living in harsh conditions in small shelters made of bamboo and tarpaulin. Winter comes with lots of fear every year. It affects especially children and elderly people. Besides, many people in Bangladesh cannot afford to buy warm clothes for winter. Every year, a significant number of people die in the winter season due to cold temperatures.
As the winter chill approaches, countless vulnerable individuals face the harsh reality of surviving in freezing conditions. Care Beyond Borders (CBB) launches its Winter Appeal, aiming to spread warmth and hope across communities in need. Our targeted beneficiaries are widows, orphans, poor students, and poor people in refugee camps and Bangladesh’s village areas.
Allah (SWT) said in the holy Quran, “Whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity.” – [The Noble Quran, 5:32].
We hope together we can bring WARMTH to those
poverty-stricken people.
